Kathryn Vercillo, Blogger for Businesses

"There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you and into action and since there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. If you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly ... You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you." - Martha Graham

If you want to be able to make a living by working for yourself then you need to get really smart about money very quickly. This need was what drove me to start taking a strong interest in personal finance issues. And that has now become a topic that I know inside and out because of my personal experience in organizing business finances as well as my experience in writing for people on the topic of money. I write regulary about budgeting, taxes, frugality, debt and other aspects of personal finance.

Here are some samples of my work in the personal finance niche:

  • Money Saving Blog. I provide the content for a money-saving blog. This includes two feature-length articles, one short news post and one round-up post per week. This blog has seen a lot of success including being named a Top 20 blog for its industry, receiving 900 Digg votes for one particular piece and having pieces picked up by leading sites such as The Consumerist. In conjunction with this blog, I have also guest posted on over two dozen personal finance and frugality blogs which you can see links to here and here.
  • Spend On Life Blog. Contributing blogger.
  • Apply4Credit, daily blogger 2008. Sample post.
  • Credit Card Assist, daily blogger 2008. Sample post.
