I get my best ideas when listening to music. I read on anothers authors blog that listening to "My Chemical Romance" got her writing and since I quite like My Chemical Romance I went to a music website and typed them in and amazingly as soon as I heard the gothic rock music flooding my ears I started writing and I had a similiar experience with Hellogoodbye "Baby, it's fact"

I also get inspired by watching movies, I am a huge movie buff and can't get enough of romantic comedies and sometimes they really make me want to write. I think it's the plot of the story that gets me thinking about my own plot and my own characters.

That is all, check out my blog if you want to peek through the small window of my chaotic life.

xx

@ Call Me Belle ... Great tips. I think that exposing ourselves to any other kind of art besides writing has the potential to really inspire our work.

I get my best ideas when I'm in the shower. I continue to find that odd - it's the only time I can't write something down!!!

@ Amy Sue Nathan ... It has something to do with the relaxation, the lack of distraction and the part of the brain that you're using in the shower. Not that that helps with writing things down. :)
