Someone wrote recently to thank me for writing Crochet Saved My Life. She said that the book resonated with her. Then she said this:
“It is always wonderful to be reminded you are not alone.
It is another form of shared life and sense of community.”
I so agree. Books, when told honestly, can do this for us. It is why I am a reader.
And it is part of why I am a writer.
I am so humbled.
Thank you – not just to the commenter but also to the other readers of my book, the writers of the books who have made me feel this way and the readers of books other than mine who have felt this and who continue to read to keep finding that feeling.
